Telsis LLC is committed to handling all data — customer data, call data, and usage data — in a fair, lawful, and transparent manner. This Fair Data Usage Policy explains the principles that guide how we collect, use, retain, and protect data in connection with our VoIP services.
This policy supplements our Privacy Policy and provides additional context on our data ethics and practices.
We tell you what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it — in plain language, not legal jargon. You should never be surprised by how Telsis uses your information.
We collect data only for specific, legitimate purposes. Data collected for one purpose is not used for a different, incompatible purpose without your knowledge.
We collect only the data that is necessary to deliver and improve our services. We do not collect data "just in case" it might be useful later.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the data we hold is accurate and up to date. You may contact us to correct inaccurate data at any time.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
We do not keep data longer than necessary. Retention periods are based on legal requirements, contractual obligations, and operational needs.
As a VoIP provider, Telsis processes call detail records (CDRs) as part of delivering our services. CDRs contain metadata about calls — such as originating and terminating numbers, timestamps, and call duration — but not call content.
CDRs are used for:
CDRs are not sold to third parties and are not used for advertising purposes.
Telsis does not sell, rent, or lease customer personal data or call records to any third party for commercial purposes. Data shared with third parties is limited to what is necessary to deliver our services (e.g., interconnect carriers for call routing) or required by law.
We retain different categories of data for different periods:
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at sales@telsis.net. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
In the event of a data breach affecting customer data, Telsis will notify affected customers and relevant authorities as required by applicable law, within the timeframes prescribed by those laws. We maintain an internal incident response process to identify, contain, and remediate security incidents promptly.
We may revise this Fair Data Usage Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated to customers by email or via our website. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
